Charity Status
We are a registered Charity with the Charity commission for England and Wales.
Our charity number is 1003986.
Being a charity means that we are run by a board of Trustees who are all volunteers.
The Trustees are responsible for running the Charity, for it's property, finances and the employment of any staff or volunteers.
They ensure that the Charity is solvent, well-run and delivering the outcomes for which it was set up.
We are governed by a Constitution which is a set of rules that sets out the aims of the group.
The Trustees ensure that those aims are followed.
Charities are organisations set up for the benefit of the community.
Whilst they may make profit, they must use any such profit for the purposes of the Charity.
The purpose of our Playgroup and Kidzclub is to provide Early years education, care fun and safety to our Playgroup children and care, fun and safety to the children who use our Kidzclub.
Being a Trustee Is immensely rewarding, it enables you to make a difference, to the Charity and everyone it helps.
It can be hard work and it is unpaid. It provides both expected and unexpected opportunities for personal development. You will bring your skills and energy to the group, but find you are gaining new experiences and knowledge along the way.
Plus you will make a difference to your community.
Further information about becoming a Trustee is available from the Business manager who can be found in the Children Centre office.
